The scene is set: it’s eight at night, and you just got a text from your friend telling you about a party that’s going on. He tells you to get ready, and that he’ll be there in ten minutes. No drinking on an empty stomach
This is absolutely pivotal. Before going out to a club or some party where you know you’re bound to get drunk, make sure you have something to eat at least a few hours before. If not, just have something light at the party. Food slows down the rate at which your body absorbs alcohol.
Drink loads and loads of water
One of the most prevalent symptoms of hangovers is dehydration. Hence, it should be common knowledge to always take gaps from between drinking to take in water. This should be repeated periodically to ensure that there is something other than alcohol in the person’s system. Also, make sure that you have at least a liter of water before going to bed.
